The ancient city of Hebron, the most violent city in the West Bank, is split in two zones: H1 & H2. H1 is controlled by the Palestinian Authority while H2 is controlled by Israel. With H1 remaining an Arab city and H2 being transformed into Jewish only neighborhoods for settlers, one of the biggest conflicts erupts with who controls the 'Souq' or Old City, located in between the two zones. It has risen to the point where Jewish settlers and Palestinians hold on to individual houses while being extremely tense neighbors. Narrow streets are sometimes covered by fences to help prevent being pelting with trash, rocks, urine, feces, etc. from settlers above. Dotted with over 100 Israeli checkpoints, tasks such as getting food, going to school, and visiting family becomes a difficulty for Palestinians.
