As the occupied Gaza Strip remains war torn, a growing number of nations and international organizations are joining together by both land and sea to bring much needed aid to the Palestinians inside Gaza. One land land convoy, which made its way from Europe through the Middle East, finally entered Egypt with the hopes of entering Gaza through the Egyptian controlled Rafa Border. With Hosni Mubarak still in office, access was denied to the international peace convoy. With demonstrations rising in Egypt, the Cairo riot police were deployed to disperse the protesters in Tahrir Square.

The convoy was never allowed to enter the Gaza Strip.
